Dean Sigler, author of the 'Sustainable Skies' blog on electric and hybrid aircraft (http://sustainableaviation.org) discusses his current "cheapest electric airplane" project, and then gives an overview of the current crop of electric VTOL "air taxi" concepts on the drawing boards of Airbus, Boeing, and others. Various concepts and challenges of the VTOL air-taxi model are discussed.
