The diesel version of the new Tucson comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that promises to deliver excellent efficiency levels. We did a 130km+ run on the Bengaluru - Hyderabad highway to see how much this SUV could manage with two people on board and the A/C running. Speeds were in the range of 85-90 km/h with occasional bursts to 100 km/h.
