Market Orders vs. Limit Orders: Which Should You Use? http://www.financial-spread-betting.c... PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Market and limit orders, when should you use them? When is it best to use market orders and when is it better to utilise limit orders? What is the difference between a Market and Limit order?

Market or Limit Order? Which to Use? When using a market order you are basically telling the broker that you want to buy now at the market price and you're prepared to pay a little higher than the prevailing market price to get the order executed. When utilising a limit order you can being price-sensitive; you only want the order executed if the market reaches a pre-determined level. I prefer to use limit orders in most of my trading as this reduces the degree of urgency in trading. Limit orders help you think and stop the aggression - getting involved immediately could easily lead you to overtrading. Also, you are likely to get more value when using limit orders. So why would someone use a market order instead of a limit order when buying a stock?
