Over five years ago, our build process for Microsoft's Silicon Valley Campus started by putting people at the center and re-imagining everything else. This allowed us to focus on how we could integrate water - one of California's scarcest natural resources - into our building systems, energy conservation goals, and habitat restoration efforts.
This drone video of the campus gives an unpolished look at the systems and technology integrated across the new site. Watch to see our on-site water treatment plant, thermal storage tanks, cross-laminated timber, solar panels, and a place where we will build an eco-friendly living roof that restores the site's natural biodiversity.
