FBI Director Christopher Wray tells Congress, "I’d be hard pressed to think of a time where so many threats to our public safety and national security were so elevated all at once." He endorses a reauthorization of the FISA Section 702 spying authority minus adding a warrant requirement. This comes a week before Section 702 expires and as negotiations continue among House Republicans on a bill that can pass the House.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) suggests that Speaker Mike Johnson's (R-LA) job may be safe if he brings a bill with aid for Ukraine to a vote, and a House Republican follows through on her threat to bring a motion to remove the Speaker, because enough Democrats will vote against the motion.
