Often it is said that Lord Krishna was born around 3100 BCE. However, the Puranas tell of a large numbers of people who lived before Krishna such as Rama, Vaivasvat Manu, and Swayambhu Manu. So where is the archaeological evidence for the habitation of these persons? The Indus Valley Civilization started around 3100 BCE only. Thus, it means that these people including Krishna did not live at that time. Secondly, if Krishna lived in 3100 BCE, then where is the literature of the Indus Egypt civilization that existed from 3100 to 1500 BCE? Therefore, it is more logical that Lord Krishna lived around 1500 BCE so that the archaeology of the Indus Valley and the literature of Puranas match with each other.
