Lots of companies are working on bringing all-electric pickup trucks to market. But while most are focusing on pickups for 'lifestyle' applications Arizona-based Atlis is very much focused on work trucks for folks who currently use internal combustion engined pickups.

In order to be acceptable to those customers, Atlis decided it would need a very fast-charging battery pack -- and a truck that could do everything today's gas-guzzling trucks can do.

The result is the Atlis XT and the XP platform on which it is based. And at its heart is the new battery technology that seems too good to be true, charging from empty to 100% full for a 250 kW pack in just 10 minutes.

Here's what we learned about the technology from Atlis and its Virtual Battery Day.
