I am new to e-biking. I have been riding mtb bikes for a couple of years. The biggest questions I had were how far and how long will the battery last. There are several things that will affect your battery's range. Weight, tires, grade, distance, and the mode you will be riding in.
In this video, I will be testing the difference of using the automatic( or EMTB ) mode to riding in mode 2. Giant says that riding in the EMBT mode will give you a more natural feeling in the amount of assistance the motor delivers. I generally ride in mode 2 which is set to wh.
I didn't like the EMTB mode. The bike would either deliver too much or not enough power when needed. I think the accelerometer plays a role in the power delivery. It seemed like the computer system would lag, and the power delivery was always late.
I will be doing more testing. I want to get a better idea as to the distance and the elevation that this bike will be able to climb.
