Venue is an all new compact SUV from Hyundai. It is launched in India last May, and launched in Korea one month later. Not like India version, Korea’s one has just one powertrain. 1.6L NA with CVT (6 speed manual is standard). And some convenience is different with India’s one. No wireless smart phone charger in Korea. And Knee warmer cannot be added in India’s version.
And many accessories, such as genuine car tent, dust free rubber mat, pet car seat, etc are only for Korean market at the moment.
1.6 NA version’s performance is affordable. Engine produce 123 ps @ 6300rpm and maximum torque is 15.7kg.m @ 4500rpm. Two things can be issues. One is NVH. While driving, you can feel lots of harshness and noise and vibration from outside especially unstable road. Thus driver get tired easily. Second thing is stiffness of suspension. Venue has lots of rolling and pitching. So it is hard to concentrate on fun drive.
However design is very nice. When you look at front and side or rear, it feels not like small compact SUV. It is small but big car. And lots of convenience options are also strong points. Thank for your time in advance. Please leave a comment for India Venue as well.
