Fast Start Maintenance Program
Purpose: This class will take a student with little to no experience and give the student the skills and knowledge necessary to be as competent entry level maintenance technician. The attendee will gain the knowledge of how a heating and air conditioning system works.

Goal: To develop entry level technicians that can successfully begin to run calls with a high level of customer satisfaction while generating revenue for the company.

Course Content:

1. Safety in the HVAC field
2. Understanding the refrigeration cycle
3. Understanding the heating cycle
4. Learning wiring diagrams
5. Measuring correct superheat and sub cooling
6. Using electrical diagrams to troubleshoot
7. Proper usage of gauges and meters
8. Troubleshooting live air conditioning units
9. Safe troubleshooting procedures
10. Brazing skills and techniques
11. Perfect Service Call customer communication skills
12. Understanding Basic Airflow and Duct sizing
Length: Ten (10) consecutive days .
Level: It is expected that the participant will have some mechanical aptitude. The course is valuable for those that little or no field experience or those that need to build skill set.
Presentation: Course material will be presented in a lecture and lab format. It will be 40% lecture and 60% lab.
Satisfaction Guarantee: Should the participant not be satisfied with course content they may attend the same class the next time it is offered for no charge.
