The 2024 BMW i7 is unlike any other model that the German brand has launched before. Simply put, it's the first all-electric version of the iconic 7 Series limousine, which should mean very good things for passenger comfort, given the silence and smoothness that should ensue.
In fact, BMW is so supportive of electrifying the upper-large sedan that its new-generation line-up is more i7 than 7 Series. We've already tested the petrol-powered 740i, but now it's time to assess the 'entry-level' i7 eDrive60 in all its glory.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Senior Journalist Richard Berry deep-dives the new i7 eDrive60, covering its price, features, design (yes, it's divisive), practicality, safety, after-sales support, performance and efficiency – including driving range.
