Meet Jenn Ferris. As a toddler, Jenn was abandoned by her biological mother at a bus stop in their rural Southern Indian village. She was born blind and her mother felt that she had no other choice but to “give her child to God.” She left her at that bus stop hoping that Jenn would find a better future.

When a local police officer noticed the blind toddler roaming around the village, he took her to the local orphanage. It was at this orphanage where she met Sandra. Sandra matched Jenn with a family in Canada who wanted to adopt a child.

When Jenn was a child in Canada, she always felt as though she was abandoned because she was never good enough. Through her work with Tony Robbins programs, she was able to place her trust in God. Instead of letting her situation negatively impact her forever, she chose a wide-open heart, deep faith and unbridled joy.

During her time at Date With Destiny, Jenn spoke with another attendee named Sophie. Sophie had worked in an orphanage in South Sudan. Even though she had given so much and helped so many, she felt unsuccessful and was contemplating suicide.

Jenn shared her story with Sophie. She told her that it was because of someone like Sophie that she was given the gift of her Canadian family and another chance at life. Jenn credits Sandra for her happiness and success in life. Jenn assured Sophie that she had given those gifts to the children she had helped in Sudan, just as Sandra had given them to Jenn.
