The Times published an article about Modeling Agencies scouting at the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, and through their investigation, they found a trail of crushed dreams from some of the most vulnerable people on the planet.

There is a visible trend in the fashion industry, favoring dark skinned black models, most often from South Sudan due to the deepness of their skin tone, over any other shade of black. Anok Yai, Adut Akech, are all examples of the gorgeous dark skinned models having great success, but now that agencies are going into refugee camps to feed the demand, I think a line has been crossed.
