In this video we are explaining in easy to follow, step-by-step instructions, how to check the oil level of the engine on our Dodge Hornet.
First open the hood with the small lever in the passenger compartment. The dip stick is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is the yellow handle, which can be pulled out all the way. First wipe of the dipstick and put it back in all the way. When pulling the dipstick back out, there should be two markings, indicating the minimum and maximum engine oil level. Make sure the engine oil level is someplace between these two markings.
Filling up the level from the minimum to the maximum takes exactly one quart (or liter).
