Every September, during the National Stearman Fly-in at Galesburg Airport (KGBG), there are several fly-out events for breakfast or lunch. One of those fly-out luncheons is a short, 15 minute Stearman flight to the Wolford's Farm (IL01), a fantastic family farm grass airstrip, beautifully maintained and one of the most Amazing airstrips I've had the good fortune to fly into.
This Video was captured September 10, 2021 during the Annual Stearman Fly-in that takes place at the Galesburg Airport. My trusty 2000 Cessna Skyhawk 172SP N352ME was Piloted by my good friend Mark Earl, with myself, Kelly Hicks as Co-Pilot and Navigator.
You might notice, I don't have a Stearman. I consider the President of the Fly-in, Philip Wolford, another great friend, and he invited us to attend the fly-out luncheon at his Family Farm (IL01). Thanks Philip for another GREAT EVENT!
