Remember that actively managed timberland provides more resources and benefits to our communities than unmanaged timberland. From clean air and water, to a source of revenue, we should take pride in caring for this renewable resource.

If you're interested in harvesting timber on your property -- whether you're clear cutting, or just thinning out your forest (which we recommend) -- make sure and speak with a consulting forester. Consulting foresters will assist you in negotiating the value, the contract and the sale of your timber.
