This is the new McLaren GT! The grand tourer from Woking makes its debut to the public during Top Marques Monaco, giving me a first opportunity to take a look at it in person, show you around and think about how it sits in the line-up. What do you think of it?

As one of just many cars on show, the McLaren GT joins the likes of the Bugatti Chiron, Ferrari FXX K Evo, Aston Martin AM-RB 003 and also, believe it or not, a road legal Formula 1 style car from Zacaria! Let's first explore the new grand tourer in detail before continuing around the show taking in those cars as well as others like the DBS Superleggera OHMSS Edition also making its debut, a Ford GT and many more.

The McLaren GT is based in a carbon tub and engine configuration similar to the 720S with 620hp and 630nm while being the most versatile McLaren model yet including the use of more luxurious materials. Most notably behind the seats you find 420 litres of luggage space beneath the rear hatch which is large enough to even fit a full golf bag.

Now in my 9th year at Top Marques, it's always a fun event to visit and this time around the location has slightly moved but features a fantastic line-up of supercars and more. Playing host to a presentation of the McLaren GT also gave me the opportunity to get up close with it, although without the full information you might usually hear from a press launch.
