We positioned our 2020 Dividend Stock Portfolio in growth stocks early in the year to take advantage of the rebound and it’s paid off big time. The portfolio return is beating the stock market but now it’s time to shift gears. It’s time to add some value stocks to the portfolio.

Value stocks have underperformed growth so far this year because those tech stocks in the growth index have rocketed higher. While a lot of traditional companies in the value theme have been shutdown, tech and growth stocks have boomed.

That could change though if the economic recovery continues. You would expect a shift in investor sentiment and spending, back into some of these cheap stocks and traditional companies. That’s why I’m looking for some of the cheapest stocks to buy, the ones that have been hit hardest by the pandemic and that might be ready to jump higher.

I’ll show you how to find value stocks to buy and a simple stock screener to help you do it. I’ll share my favorite research tool for finding cheap stock sectors and then reveal the three cheap dividend stocks I’m buying in September 2020 for our portfolio.
