Pan con Bistec (Cuban Steak Sandwich)

This is a super easy recipe that makes me miss being back home in Miami. This recipe is for 4 sandwiches, but you can modify it to make just 1 as you can see in the video. For those non red meat eaters, you can easily use chicken breast instead of steak and make yourself a chicken sandwich. So good!!!

4 thinly sliced bottom rounds steaks, typical cut for sandwiches
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp cumin
Juice of 1 or 2 limes, optional
1/2 yellow onion, sliced
Shredded lettuce
Tomato, sliced
Mayonnaise
Potato sticks (shoe string potatoes, or papitas Juliana)
Cuban bread, substitute Italian or Puerto Rican or even French bread if you can’t find Cuban bread, but nothing too crusty

Note: Be more generous with the seasoning of the steak than I was in the video. You should use all the seasoning for 4 steaks, so I should’ve added more to my single steak. It was good tho! 😋🤪
