Arduino 10 bit "analog" output using Port manipulation and R/2R ladder

To use the arduino in a modular setting, a good "analog" output signal is vital. In this video I try to make a 10 bit "analog" output by using port manipulation to use 10 output pins into an R2R network, to create a much nicer signal than the 8 bit pwm signal that is called to do an analogWrite to a pin.
A video with lots of tinkering and explaining concepts, and not so much modular fun ;)
