This video will explain in simple terms why you should not install the cabin air filter upside down.
Cabin air filters consist of different layers which trap different-sized particles. The top layers trap larger particles while the bottom layers filter smaller particles.
To properly filtrate the air in your vehicle and to prolong the life span of your cabin air filter you should always observe the air flow direction arrows on the filter during installation.
