On Tuesday, November 28 the University of Waterloo community came together to support our Engineering students on Giving Tuesday through two very important funds: Engineering Student Design Teams and the Engineering Equity Fund. You helped us unlock an additional $10,000 to make an even bigger impact. Thank you for all you do to support Waterloo Engineering on Giving Tuesday – and beyond!

Waterloo Engineering’s Student Design Teams showcase interdisciplinary innovation at its best. More than 24 teams of students from all engineering disciplines, as well as from other faculties across campus, work together to ideate, create and take part in competitions. It's an extraordinary extracurricular experience that offers the students opportunities to travel, work, change the world and make lifelong friendships. These teams are completely self-funded. Your generous donation will help them pay for equipment, materials, registration fees and allow them to compete on the global stage. You’ll help us unlock an additional $5,000 when 60 donors is reached!

The Engineering Equity Fund
The Engineering Equity Fund is designed to increase representation, participation and inclusion of Indigenous and Black students in the Engineering faculty. Your generous donation will support Black and Indigenous first-year engineering students with entrance scholarships as they embark on their academic careers. Donations to the Engineering Equity fund also support Engineering Outreach programs focused on creating more inclusive and accessible opportunities in STEM education for Black and Indigenous youth.
