Corden clearly wants to play down the spat, no doubt aware of the backlash against him for attempting to humiliate a much-loved, knighted, talented actor as Patrick Stewart. Although Stewart shouldn't have started the spat at the Glamour Awards ceremony, Corden equally should have held his own lip rather than attack Stewart so directly. It was all so very awkward.
