1)Picking a brokerage:
Choosing which stock brokerage is right for you can be daunting in itself. With so many options to choose from, which one is right for you? Well that all depends on what kind of investor you are looking to be. Some brokerages are great for day and swing trading (also explained in the video), and others are ideal for passive long term investing. Once you figure out what kind of investor you want to be and what your particular goals are, it becomes much easier to choose the brokerage account that is right for you.

2)Choosing an investing style:
Investing begins with two major styles, fundamental investing, and technical investing. Fundamental investing revolves around evaluating the fundamentals of a company, including but not limited to a companies profit, loss, assets, debts, projected income etc. Based on this information, a fundamental investor calculates the value of the company and compares their calculated value to the price of the stock at which point, if the price they come up with from their calculation is less than the price of the stock, then a fundamental investor buys that stock. On the other hand, a technical investor looks strictly at the stock charts, playing off short term swings in the price of the stocks, mainly based on chart patterns and emotion associated with the stocks.

3)Day trading vs. Swing trading vs. Investing:
Once you choose the style that fits you best, you then can choose what kind of investor you want to be in terms of how often you buy and sell stock. A day trader buys and sells stocks within the same day. A swing trader buys and sells stocks over the course of a week to a month. A long term investor buys and holds stocks for the long term.

Once you pick your strategy and establish your investing goals, you can then pick the best brokerage account for you and go on your way to financial freedom!
