Happy Thanksgiving! This was a fun project that I really liked. In many ways however, I am not satisfied with the final product. I went from rasping straight to painting. I was so exited to see what it would look like that I rushed it. I made a second one off camera that is much smother but less straight. That is probably the hardest part, finding straight a 33” branch with little to no knots in it. I tested that other bat off camera and it works way better. The wood on that one is harder and sounds better. There is one issue with it though, there is a huge crack in the side running length wise. I do not think that this crack was formed from hitting a ball, but rather from drying improbably. With neither of my bats I have waited for the wood to dry, I’m just too exited. The crack has been getting bigger just by sitting in my garage, I also suspect that the mystery wood that I have used is not that stable anyways. I am currently editing a video in which I test a the $0 bat, the 2nd $0 bat, the $120 bat, and a metal bat. I have plans to do this again but properly, I don’t know if I’ll make a video about it though. Also with the bat that I broke, it was so heavy that It took several pitches to get that clip. I almost never hit to right field because I am a righty. But since it is so hard to swing, it was delayed by a lot. You can just see in the clip how slow the bat is moving. I plan to glue where it split and just keep in my garage. I was also thinking if I make the school team to strike out in practice and then break it over my knee. I wouldn’t want to do that in a real game because I don’t want to get ejected or thrown off the team.

Ight bye.
