Now what exactly is storytelling ?

In essence storytelling is the art of using words and actions to pass on a story while encouraging the listeners imagination.
It implies that the listener is highly involved and by using his or her own imagination the story becomes his or hers. The reason why people love story so much is because they want to feel connected and stories give you a reason to communicate and relate to other people.
So when it comes to your brand or your business the exact same concepts can be applied because business storytelling was in a very similar way it’s all about creating alignments between your business and your prospects and customers.

Why should you use storytelling ?

An average adult spends about 20 hours a week consuming digital media and this number might seem a lot but every minutes 1388 blog posts are published YouTube users upload about 72 hours of new video contents and every minutes Twitter users tweets nearly 300 and thousand times. I think that it makes it quite obvious why as a brand or a business do you want to stand out of the crowd especially when we’re talking about your online presence. So well in most cases business storytelling is used to stand out and to connect with your audience there are also a lot of other factors where are you should definitely implement storytelling.

How to come up with a good business story ?

Start with your 4 key questions

Find your ideal buyer persona

OK so now that you have your buyer persona you have your problem and you have your resolution you can go ahead and tiedit all together into a cohesive story. When creating your story make sure that you create a character where you buy a purse when I can recognize him or herself in. If you can get your buyer persona to make your story there on the rest will follow.

Be sure to emphasize during your story to problem-solving by making the character really go through it. It’s important to tap into the emotional side and show your buyer persona that there are other people out there having the same problems and troubles.

At the end of your story introduce resolution. Make sure that in the story it is still comes across as genuine because your potential audience is quickly going to notice if what you’re selling them sounds a little bit off. You won’t be able to gain their trust and as they will not purchase for you from you.

Best practices when writing your business story

Make sure that your story is kept in size and shorts because you want people to able to remember it so we are building he doesn’t matter so that you can speak to your ideal buyer persona.

It’s also very important to keep in mind what kind of value you bring to your listeners be offensive and try to provide some transparency to celebrate and differentiate yourself from other brands.

Last thing would be to involve your audience and to be consistent with your business story communicated when you can and through all of your channels your story is what is going to connect with your audience to make sure to get it out there on a consistent basis.
