One of the common complaints with Bitcoin is that it’s pretty hard to get started, and there’s a lot of overhead to making accounts and sending transactions. So I want to show everyone a really simple workflow that I’ve been using to interact with the Bitcoin blockchain from my command line using Javascript. This isn’t a workflow that I would recommend for long-term storage (though there isn’t anything wrong with it necessarily, I still would recommend hardware wallets for long-term crypto-asset storage) but it is a good workflow for hacking around, sending money and building apps.
