The Minnesota Golden Gophers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed from there on the way to a 5-1 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Monday.

Senior Jacie Hambrick (6-8) started in the circle and picked up the win for Minnesota (26-22, 12-8 B1G). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on three hits.
