The Garden at Daylesford Organic is a place to celebrate all that nature provides. In opening this space we're honouring our beginnings, sharing the reasons we started farming organically and caring for the earth's soil.

Healthy soil gives food its nutrients and plants their vitality. It feeds us, and fundamentally, it sustains life on earth.

I also wanted to share my own love of my garden and of spending time in nature. I love the creativity of a garden, planning ahead for the different seasons, mixing colours and shapes, and trying new things to see what will grow well.

This space is all about celebrating growing spaces of all sizes: balconies, window sills or small terraces, as well as larger gardens.

The building itself is a reflection of our commitment to work with nature and treat her resources with care. We've recycled, restored and reused as much as we can.

We've designed Daylesford's first range of garden furniture using natural and reclaimed materials. I'm particularly excited about our range of organic, peat-free compost. Peat is a unique and finite resource, and a natural habitat for wildlife so finding alternatives to avoid its depletion is crucial.

Plants help clean our air, they support pollinators and birds, replenish the nutrients in our soil and they prevent its erosion so that we can continue to grow and produce food.

We need to work with nature. It has so much to teach us and I hope that our Garden at Daylesford will help you to learn from it too.
