Here’s a look inside Easter weekend when you own a bounce house business!

This video starts out with me setting it up, and then gets into the madness! I did 15 total bounce house rentals and inflatable water slides rentals, as well as dropping off and set up our foam machine rental.

Along the way there is tons of fun, some parts where I kinda start to lose my mind, a mountain of hard work, and some inspirational content as well!

The reason I’m doing this all alone...well, because I had to! I have several part time employees from last year that we’re going to work with me, and I made a HUGE leadership mistake by doing 2 things:

1. Assuming this would be like last year - so 2020 was a massive boom for us, and we essentially went from a small bounce house rental side hustle into a full blown bounce house business. I “prepped”, using that word loosely, for this huge Easter weekend similar to last year, by not dining too much prep. Yeah that blew up in my face.
2. I assumed that our guys were fully on board to put in work and crush it with me! They weren’t. They had plans, they had school, they had other jobs, etc.

You of course know that old saying about what happens when assume too much? Well I lived it that’s for sure!

Nick quit his 16 year "career" as as a District Manager for Journeys shoes in August 2019, and while he worked to scale The Jump Off, he drove uber, sold trash that he found on the side of the road, and picked up as many odd jobs (like building swing sets) as he could.

Then in late 2019, Nick hit "The Bounce House lottery" (https://originleadership.com/bounce-h...) and when the pandemic shut everything down in 2020, he sprung into action and took that moment to make The Jump Off what it is today!
