Opening day at KRATE in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This unique location has converted shipping containers that are now home to several mom-and-pop restaurants and retail shops. It’s a new concept in the Tampa Bay area. There are now nearly 50 businesses, mostly opened by first-time business owners, housed in 94 shipping containers. Many people, with children and pets, showed up for this grand opening. There was a festive mood in the air while we walked around. Definitely a very nice place and worth a visit to support these small, mostly start up, businesses.

There are a total of 46 businesses currently in KRATE Container Park; 17 are retail shops and 29 are restaurants.
