The day of testing. Tested the range of the Parrot ANAFI over the ocean, of course I checked local drone restrictions and it was in the unrestricted areas. It was a clear line of sight LOS from controller to drone so minimal interference apart from the effects to signal over water.

It was great to be flying again stress free and enjoying the day.

I ran two executive tests midday and before sunset, max altitude at midday was 50m and at sunset 100m. The results were the same, which brings me to conclude that is it due to the limited TX/RX power on the wireless radios to comply with CE regulations. FCC users would definitely have better range than this in similar conditions.
