There's a lot of overlap between the iPad Pro and the MacBook lineup... but why isn't there more? It's become fashionable to say that Apple is deliberately holding the iPad Pro lineup back in order to protect the Mac. Is that really the case? Does Apple really artificially prevent the iPad Pro from becoming even more pro? To answer this question we have to go deep down the rabbit hole... back to the launch of the first iPad (Steve Jobs' last great keynote), back through the history of all five iPad Pro models to date and connect the dots.
