In this lecture, Dr. Jeff Shuren, Director of FDA’s Center for
Devices and Radiological Health, explains how TAP is intended to help spur rapid development and more widespread patient access to safe, effective, high quality medical devices of public health importance. The TAP Pilot, launched in January 2023, offers the opportunity for device developers to be connected with key patient groups, provider groups and payers, so that they can develop the best strategy for how to get from concept to commercialization as efficiently as
possible.
