Rear Can-Am knuckle fix. Have you ever felt as though the rear end of your Can-Am X.3 maverick is washing out? This is something that has been pretty common on the rear knuckles of both the two seat and MAX model machines. I don't know if it was as much of a problem on the 120 hp engines, but the 172 and up models will definitely have issues with the rear end.

There are a number of different kits out there to correct this, one is the shock therapy double shear knuckle kit for the Can-Am X.3. I had this in place and the rear end still wallowed out. If you feel as though you are going down the highway and the machine is riding like an old Cadillac, you may have a problem with a worn out or wallowed out knuckle.

Today I am showing you the damage to the rear knuckles, as well as doing an install on the ZRP double shear billet Can-Am rear race knuckles. Right out of the box these things are heavy, extremely well-built, and look absolutely sexy. It takes about 30 minutes per side to swap out the knuckles.

After getting everything reinstalled and taking it down the street, the problem was 100% solved. The only thing that I need to do is throw some thread lock into the center bolt, or take my grinder to the trailing arms in order to make space for the locking mechanism that comes with the ZRP rear knuckles.

Please make sure that you are following along as we will do repairs on Polaris RZR’s, Polaris generals, and of course on the can ams.

A word, side-by-side's are fun, they are also dangerous. When I say dangerous, yes, you can hurt yourself, but what I'm actually referring to is as soon as you get addicted to them, you will be putting more money in then you should. Any stock side-by-side will be an absolute blast. Just remember, the harder you run these things the more you will have to repair and replace. Shortcomings are easy to find when you are out on the trails on a regular basis. Make sure you subscribe and comment and please share the videos as they come out.
