On the ride home from my 950km (590 mile) trip, I discuss how my Honda Rebel 500 has performed!

Fuel economy (or mileage): I had to fill up these three times while away:
1) I travelled 260.6kms and used 8.11 litres = 3.11 litres per 100kms
2) I travelled 296.6kms and used 9.76 litres = 3.29 litres per 100kms
3) I travelled 222.8kms and used 7.75 litres = 3.48 litres per 100kms
The Rebel seems to get slightly better fuel economy on the backroads just cruising at 90 or 95kms an hour compared to doing 110 on the freeway. It is possible to do 300kms in between fuel stops but normally it's only about 250. It would be pretty cool if Honda would use the Rebel 1100 tank on the 500.

Honda, please just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you :-)
