Slater and I are trying our best to take Scottie out of the house whenever we feel it’s safe and best. We want him to experience more things outside the four walls of our house and have a semblance of normalcy, even when the world isn’t so normal right now. I had the idea to take him to Cebu Ocean Park a few weeks ago and I’m so happy we finally got to make it happen! Scottie looooves fish and looking at aquariums, so I was sure he would really enjoy the trip. We made sure to go on a weekday so there would be less people, and we bought tickets online and filled out health declarations in advance so we wouldn’t have to line up! (Pro tip: klook has a promo we booked that saved us 150pesos per person!) Thankfully, my friend Melissa hooked us up with Alex, who gave us a private tour of the place. We knew exactly where to go and what to do! He even took us on a mini back of the rooms tour, and we got see their little hospital and rehab center for the fish! All in all it was a great family trip. We only got to spend about an hour and a half because our little toddler got sleepy and overwhelmed quite fast, but he really did enjoy it! The look on his face touching the gecko and seeing the huge stingrays was priceless!
