It’s no secret that Disney is launching their own streaming content platform to compete with the likes of Netflix, Hulu, and all the others. While some may see that as a weird play, especially with how oversaturated and overcrowded the market for shows already is, but there’s a simple answer that explains why it could and probably will work - it’s Disney. Seriously, they can do whatever they want. They can charge $1000 a month for MCU spoilers and people would sign up for it.

A major aspect of the company’s new platform is all the Marvel content that’s coming along with it. They’re taking some of their middle-tier cinematic characters and dropping them into the Disney Plus streaming universe to star in their own shows. We already know to expect stand-alone series from Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Loki, and there may even be others coming down the pipeline soon.

In this video, we’ll explain how Disney Plus is basically just the afterlife for Marvel characters. It’s like purgatory where heroes (and villains) must go to live out the rest of their days.
