Welcome to season 2 of my video blog on my journey as a space entrepreneur. In the first episode of 2021, I part from one of our co-founders, and Precious Payload pivots to a new direction in the company mission.

So, our long-term goal hasn’t changed a lot. It’s still enabling entrepreneurs to start their space companies in their dorm rooms by building a set of software tools that help them task their business and technology hypothesis faster. But what’s changed is the mission. Working with clients over the last six months showed us many roadblocks and bottlenecks purely on the data exchange sort of scene and how space companies interact with each other while building satellites. That’s the reason why we want to provide faster access to information to support decision making in space products.

And the vision to support that mission is to create a unified space mission format to exchange data on space products. Also, we selected a straightforward metric to track our work’s progress — it’s time for the next milestone in the customer project. We learned excellent about what has to be done to develop the satellite or payload and test it in a space environment for our clients. When we sign new customers, we know where they are now and what kind of next milestones are there for them. We do our best to develop the service and software product that would accelerate their time to the next milestone, be it a technical one or any paperwork or negotiations. It doesn’t matter. Whatever comes next, it has to go 10x faster and 5x cheaper. That’s our goal, and this is what we would be focusing on this year.
