Philosophy is child's play, according to kids who took part in the Brila Summer Creativity Camp held at Concordia's Loyola Campus in July 2013. In this video, Department of Journalism alumna Rachel Lau reports on the importance of teaching kids about philosophy and how the experience can inform adults.

Concordia PhD student Natalie Fletcher, founder of the Brila Summer Creativity Camp, says children are natural philosophers. They are curious and want to think critically about the world around them. "Adults think they're way too innocent, but they have ideas that are fully fledged and that are often more discerning than adults," she says.

The idea behind the camp is based on a UNESCO model called Philosophy for Children as well as Montclair University's Inquiry Model.
