This was an extraordinary day and that is not said lightly. I met the first group of Gervais beaked whales out in the middle of the northern Exuma Sound when they rose from a foraging dive, right next to my boat. One male and 3 females where the females were more playing all around my drifting boat in calm wind, just 5 to 50ft away. They made several more shallow dives and always came up next to me. That just doesn't happen !
