In this episode we leave the Colorado Backroad Discovery Route in search of dispersed camping off of Twin Mountain Trail, a trail we found on TrailsOffroad.com. We love overlanding Colorado and have had some great experiences in the state. And although the trail had a few technical spots and took us to remote areas of the Routt, we didn't have great luck searching for a place to dry camp.

After hours of searching for a convenient boondocking spot, we made the decision to set up at the National Forest Campground at Hahns Peak Lake. The campsite was more than we could have asked for in a campsite and with the beautiful mountain lake beside us, we had the opportunity for some wildlife viewing in the morning. A happy ending to a long and unsuccessful day.
