Yesterday I published the video unboxing my first ever order from Molds and Shapes. In today's video I use the round coaster mould to make some resin blooms - how will they turn out? It's fair to say that I'm extremely happy with the results. The Apex resin and this amazing mould are a match made in heaven!

Materials used:
- Molds and Shapes round coaster mould
- Apex High Gloss two part epoxy resin
- Vista liquid pigment in white and black.
- A selection of resin colour pigments - I used these:

- Piping bag
- dotting tool

To calculate the volume of a circular mould like this one, you first calculate the area of the circle, which is 3.14 x radius squared.
The radius of each coaster is half of the 10cm diameter which is 5cm
5 x 5 = 25, so multiply 25 x 3.14 to get the area, 78.5cm.
You then multiply the area of the circle (round it up to 80 to make the maths easier!) by the depth of the mould which in this case is 0.5cm, so and this will give you the total volume, which worked out at 40ml of resin for each coaster in this mould. I only made 30ml each coaster for step one because I wanted to leave space to back them with black resin.
