A successful print of a student designed form in a tinted porcelain. While the print turned out well, it does show a pattern on the surface that is not in the original model, but instead is an artifact of the over or under rotation of the auger in the print head. The auger helps regulate flow and assists with stopping and starting the extrusion. Getting the auger speed just right seems to be a bit of a moving target. The pattern could be viewed as a feature rather than a bug, but I'd like to say it was there on purpose, which it is not. There is a lot about intention and process and acceptance of the unexpected to consider perhaps. Thanks for watching!
