The R1 is a full carbon-fiber, single-seater race car by the Czech manufacturer, Praga. Now in its 5th Generation, the R1 is powered by a 2-litre turbocharged engine built by the specialist racing division at Alpine Renault with bespoke engineered parts by Praga, producing 365bhp.

The R1’s lightweight design, weighing just 1418lbs, combined with its advanced aerodynamic package, enables drivers to experience up to 3G of lateral force in corners, all within the safety of a proven, full carbon fiber monocoque from a brand with over 115 years of automotive manufacturing and engineering heritage.

As the number of R1 race cars on US grids continues to grow, in Spring 2023, the Czech brand launched Praga Racing USA as the exclusive authorized Praga R1 dealer in the United States, serving all new and existed US-based R1 owners.
