Spider-Man No Way Home and the spider-verse is in the MCU and happening because Marvel Studios' president, Kevin Feige, got Sony to let Marvel Studios handle Spider-Man and bring him in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige met with Sony chariperson Amy Pascal and said Spider-Man in the MCU is how Spider-Man will work and that Marvel Studios needs to be in charge.
