The Wilhelm Scream is one of the most famous sound effects in film history. It was first heard in the 1951 film "Distant Drums." We spoke with Jonathan Kuntz, a film history professor at UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, to find out how it came about and why it's used in over 100 films today.
