Active and aspiring entrepreneurs learned about the art and science of preparing to engage and captivate investors for their tech startups and gained valuable insights into the inner workings of a critical aspect of the #entrepreneurial journey during "The Art of Raising Capital for your Tech Startup" on Sept. 26, 2023.

The talk was presented by Purdue University alumnus Bruce Schechter, an active #advisor, #consultant and #investor in a variety of technology startups, including Life360, BigML, Carbon Lighthouse, Illumeo and 3PointData. Schechter began his career at Intel Corporation in 1980 and served a 17-year tenure in a variety of roles, including Fab Process Engineering, Microprocessor Product Management, the Corporate Strategy Group and director of online marketing. He was on the founding team of Pandesic LLC, a pioneering eCommerce cloud service provider, where he served as director of operations management and later director of strategic alliances.

A panel discussion moderated by Cagri Savran, director of the John Martinson Entrepreneurial Center, with Schechter, faculty and students followed the talk.
