Many residents in Western New York are dealing with pipes freezing in their homes.

One of those people, Dr. Harsh Sharma from Amherst knows first hand what it's like to be living in the cold.

"We've been steaming pots of water, lighting candles to keep warm," Sharma said.

But instead of trying to thaw it out himself, he called the experts at Danforth, who have been very busy during this extreme cold.

"We know the problem because we've experienced this before," said John Quirk of JW Danforth.
