This Roseate Spoonbill was feeding in the lake behind my home; they are oftentimes confused with the flamingo because of their pink color but are vastly different in their smaller size and their spoon shaped bills. They sweep them swiftly from side to side to catch small fish.
The speed of this video has not been altered, they actually move this swift when they are feeding.
The roseate spoonbill - sometimes placed in its own genus Ajaia - is a gregarious wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family, Threskiornithidae.
